Nothing. No, really. I do not have any drawing skills whatsoever. I started drawing the comic partly to help me let go of my perfectionism (and to get over my irrational hatred of my own handwriting), and partly to remember funny things that occur in my life.
I suppose it is about friendship, and about the kind of silly nonsensical jokes and happenings that make you go "what was that about?" five years later.
It is about all those things that seem hilarious, but have to be prefaced with "maybe you had to be there."
when does this update?
There is no update schedule to speak of, but you can follow YWU's RSS feed to get alerts when there is a new update. I will also post on the Facebook fan page when a new update has been published.
YWU celebrated 1 year of perfect nonsense on August 13, 2009!
what should I do if it hasn't been updated lately?
Ask me why, and I shall fall on my sword in despair and draw you the comic using my own blood as ink. You can now refer to the handy tutorial and just go draw your very own YWU episode!

ALL THE YWU STRIPS!
Eventually, I will make another list that sorts these by categories & themes... someday.
Note: Some of the names on the earlier strips are different from the "top text" that appears on the actual strip - but for ease of finding them if you're not sure which one you're looking for, these names make the most sense.
The comic is scanned, straightened (mostly) and generally fixed up for the web by Jesse. I did not think that (of all things) this particular part of posting a webcomic would be the hardest, but I also cannot draw a straight line to save my life. Thanks, J <3
